To make file private, navigate to https://publit.io/dashboard/files page:
- Locate your file and click on far right Edit icon.
- Turn OFF Switch button "Set files privacy to Public" and click on Update to change file privacy.
Please note: private files require access tokens for access - they are always present and generated on file URLs within Dashboard and API - but they expire after 24h. So you need to update them on your pages if you hardcode urls. (use SDK or Plugin to auto-generate fresh urls for each new visitor)

Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "private". Does this mean that only people who have access tokens can view the file via URL links?
If I want to embed a video on my Wordpress site where only signed in members can see the page, should I make the Publito file public so they can access it without an access code?
Yes, only people with link & access token can view file.
No, you can make files private and embed them on wordpress site, but use Publitio Plugin to embed player or source - as plugin will auto retrieve fresh access tokens for each new visit on your pages
hope this helps
How can I do the same for Squarespace site? Is there a plugin for that?
